Not Funny

i was blog-hopping the other day when i came across one blog that kept me hooked because of a series of entries, entitled "The Atrocities of Friendster". i remember i received a forwarded e-mail from a friend with this subject. the entries contains pictures of friendster members, which the blogger, named Mike Villar, made some comments and observations. at first reading, the remarks were funny but as i read more of that entry, i noticed that instead of being funny, the author is criticizing and passing judgments on the look of the persons in the pictures to the point that if i were one of those in the pictures or a friend or a family, i would feel really insulted and angry.

about the author, well, he is good with words, and has a creative imagination for being able to come up with comments like that. but proving to the internet world of his talent and ability in expense of other people, i think is just not right. nobody has the right to criticize other people and make fun of their looks because thats how God created them. maybe its his insecurity complex that drives him to find faults in others just so he would forget about his own.

i wonder how he would feel if someone would make insulting and funny remarks about his looks, like a dose of his own medicine....

It just boils down to one lessson - if you don't look good, better keep your pictures to yourself and to your friends. We can't please everybody. I could relate to that blogger because I, too, is so mapanlait. Sorry for that. I know I'm too judgmental and too unGodly for this but this is how unfair life is.
