The Climate Challenge: Step 1

This post is in support to Greenpeace's energy efficiency campaign, dubbed the Energy Revolution, which is aimed to help mitigate the effects of the changing climate.

Learning about this pressing environmental issue is just the first step. We move on to the next by taking action. Remember that we are not doing this just for our sakes but for the generation that will come after us!

Here's the first of the seven steps to kick start in energy revolution!

Step 1: Change your energy wasting lightbulbs!

Let's change all our lightbulbs at home, at the workplace or business centers with energy saving compact fluorescents.

Think about it: A simple switch to energy saving bulbs in the EU alone, would save 20 million tonnes of CO2, equal to shutting down 25 medium-size dirty power plants.

So, step one, is changing our lightbulbs into enery saving CFL. We'll be needing less electricity,plus, we are also saving money.

And to make a greater impact, let's share this idea to our family, friends and to the entire community.
